12,432  miles.  Those of you looking for a FJR already know this:  145 hp, 6.6 gal tank, shaft drive, fuel injection, liquid cooled 16 valve DOHC inline four, need I go on?  This bike, despite its low miles was given its 14,000 mile maintenance last summer (which reflects its owner’s good care ).  It included a tune up, fork seals were replaced and more.  The only shortcoming we have found is the rear tire is a bit worn.

The reason it hauls ass is the purpose-built, 1298cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, in-line four-cylinder engine, featuring double overhead cams and a sixteen-valve cylinder head.  With ceramic composite cylinder coating, carburized rods, forged pistons, dual counter balancers and electronic fuel injection, this clean sheet design was intended by Yamaha to put the FJR1300 at the top of the engine performance heap…..
